The Hormozi Laboratory

The Hormozi Lab will be attending the AIChE and APS-DFD Conferences

The AIChE Conference will be held in Phoenix, AR from November 13th through November 18th. The Hormozi Lab will be presenting two talks:

Tuesday, November 15th at 8:15 AM– 242b Toward Understanding the Viscous and Inertial Nonlocal Rheology of Dense Suspensions by Sarah Hormozi

Tuesday, November 15th at 2:30 PM– 311i A Swimming Bacterium in a Two-Fluid Model of a Polymer Solution by Sabarish V V. Narayanan

The APS-DFD Conference will be held in Indianapolis, IN from November 20th through November 21st. The Hormozi Lab will be presenting five talks:

Monday, November 21st at 2:43 PM– Low Reynolds Number Locomotion: Non-Newtonian Fluids by Sabarish V V. Narayanan

Monday, November 21st at 4:10 PM– On the nonlocality of dense frictionless suspensions: Experimental evidence and proposed theory by Sarah Hormozi

Monday, November 21st at 4:36 PM– Microstructure and rheology of dense frictionless non-Brownian suspensions by Nishanth Murugan

Monday, November 21st at 4:49 PM– On the rheology and microstructure of wizarding quidditch ball suspensions by Enzo D’Ambrosio

Monday, November 21st at 5:28 PM– Designing a model bio-compatible yield stress fluid composed of hairy nanoparticles in aqueous solvents by Nyalaliska W. Utomo

If you will be presenting at either conference and are interested in joining the Hormozi Lab as a PhD candidate or Postdoctoral researcher, please email Professor Hormozi to attend your talk.
